If KFC‘s newest celebrity Colonel Sanders strikes you as the perfect doppelgänger, that’s because the latest Colonel Sanders is in fact, the man himself – Colonel Harland Sanders.

To bring the original Colonel Sanders back to life in its latest promotion, the chain is using a mix of authentic commercial footage from the ‘60s and ‘70s seamlessly weaved together with new footage made to look old through the magic of technology.
Here’s a look at the first pair of ads they’ve put together featuring the real Colonel along with a cameo appearance by former celebrity Colonel and comedian, Norm MacDonald:
New Contemporary Bucket Design
In addition to the new ad campaign, the chain is celebrating the 60th anniversary of the iconic KFC bucket with the introduction of a contemporary bucket design that pays homage to the brand’s heritage and founder, Colonel Harland Sanders.
